Fans of queer cinema should check out the Galway Film Fleadh’s annual Out On Film programme. Their 2019 line-up of the best new LGBT+ films will include producer James Schamus (of Brokeback Mountain fame) presenting his latest Sundance hit, Adam. The Fleadh’s Director of Programming, Will Fitzgerald, said, “An LGBT+ sidebar can walk a fine line between visibility and tokenism in 2019, but we curate our Out On Film selections to represent queer experiences and not just a bunch of films with gay characters in them.”

The 31st Galway Film Fleadh takes place from July 9 – 14.
