I Can See Clerys Now

The countdown timer is ticking for the Irish cinema release of Under The Clock. Featuring Philippa J Ryder, who recently cycled Team Ireland to the winner’s podium as part of the Gay Games, this charming doc tells the story of a generation of Irish couples who met under the legendary Dublin landmark.

Directed by Colm Nicell, the tagline harks back to allegedly more innocent days as it proclaims – “Before Tinder, before speed dating and before Love Island, there was Clerys clock”. It mightn’t go amiss to include Grindr in there too!

It’s made by Snackbox Films, the same folk who brought us the excellent documentary Older Than Ireland, so there’s certainly a fine pedigree.

Arriving in early October, this is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Why not grab some popcorn and bring your significant other to a screening? We have a suggestion where you could meet.
