Bi Visibility Day

Sunday, September 23 was the official worldwide Bi Visibility Day. Celebrated every year since 1999, it’s a global movement to combat bi-phobia and highlight the bisexual community.

Countries and communities across the world threw a series of events for the big day, Ireland included. Dublin’s Generator Hostel in Smithfield was the backdrop for the awesome Bi+ Visibility Variety Show.

So while Bi Visibility Day may have passed, it launched the start of Bisexual Awareness Week, which runs until September 30, and in turn, Bisexual Awareness Month, so there’s still time to get out there and wave the pink, lavender and blue flag high.
