Viktória Radványi’s leadership within Budapest Pride has become a shining example of courage and collaboration in the face of discrimination. Viktória’s tireless work empowers Hungarian LGBTQ+ voices while building solidarity across the continent. On the night, Viktória received a standing ovation as she celebrated the success of this year’s Budapest Pride, as well as Hungary’s only rural Pride, both breaking attendance records despite being banned. In her words, “This is only the beginning of the fight because we have a lot of work to do.”
Her determination and hope continue to inspire activists everywhere, showing that even in the toughest conditions, Pride endures.
