Singing For Christmas
For those of you who didn’t get tickets to the sold out Dublin Gay Men’s Chorus Home For Christmas event at Christchurch on December 8, the guys will be belting the carols out at the 19th year of the Annual LGBT Christmas Carol Service at the Unitarian Church on Stephen’s Green the following night, December 9. It’s always a heartwarming occasion, and it raises money for charity too, giving you the chance to spread some Christmas cheer – a win-win by anyone’s standards.
This year’s guest speaker will be ex-RTÉ newsreader, Michael Murphy, who in his capacity as a psychoanalyst, recently published The Book of Dreams.
The collection on the night will be for Brother Kevin, Capuchin Day Centre for the Homeless, and the evening will topped offwith mulled wine and mince pies.
Dublin’s LGBT+ choir, Glória return to their festive home of St Patrick’s Cathedral for their annual, beloved mix of yuletide favourites and more on Friday, December 15. Doors open at 7.30pm with the concert starting at 8pm, and tickets cost €15 including booking fee from Eventbrite.
If you become a Friend of Glória before December 1, you will received at least two special reserved tickets to the Christmas concert, depending on which membership type you take out. Friends of Glória are a special group who support the choir, their artistic aims and educational objectives and concert events. By becoming a “Friend of Glória” you are also supporting their outreach, campaigns and support for other charities. To find out more just pop an email to friends@gloria.ie
