Winter Pride

The first official Winter Pride, which takes place between November 25 and December 1, is a new event brought to you by Dublin LGBT+ Pride which will once again unite us and reconnect people with all the resources and supports available to them.

It’s also a chance to close out the 50th anniversary of Stonewall in style with a week packed full of events.

The full program is available on www.winterpride.ie and will include a concert, a day dedicated to LGBT+ seniors, a Géilí, museum and gallery events, and a major fundraising event on December 1 to mark World AIDS Day.

The opening event, on Monday November 25, is a night of music and celebration, titled ’50 Years of Pride - Songs and Stories’, hosted by The Queen of Ireland - Panti Bliss. The show will be a journey through 50 years of gay anthems and stories, with a fabulous guest cast. The unmissable event will take place in The National Concert Hall on Earlsfort Terrace.

On Wednesday November 27, Pantibar will host a Géilí with entry free all night.

November 29 will see ‘Pride in the Workplace’ - a must-attend event for all companies planning to take part in Dublin Pride 2020. This will consist of a full-day training course and networking opportunity aimed at HR and CSR professionals from corporate, statutory, and NGO backgrounds. There will be a team from Dublin Pride present, along with a panel of guest speakers and facilitators, covering topics such as: Diversity and Inclusion Programs, LGBT+ Recruitment, and Pride 2020 (Planning, Pinkwashing, and Perceptions) among others.

To help close the week, Pride Community Day will take place on Saturday November 30. Dublin Pride will take over The Wicklow Floor in The Convention Centre, and will be queering up the space for the day. This will be an open day for anyone in the community to get together, have a chat, and get to know some new people!

Expect information from a variety of LGBT+ support and social groups as well as partners and sponsors looking to showcase services and products. Tickets for the day are free, although a fee may apply for some of the workshops or talks presented on the day.
