Dublin alt-punk rock crew, Stunt Lover release their debut album Aldona’s Daughter this month. The trio, who’ve played Electric Picnic, Fringe and a host of other venues in Dublin and the EU, took a break in 2010 while leader singer and guitarist Kaylee Bear (an occassional contributor to GCN) took time to transition.
Ecletic magazine described the the Stunt Lover as “probably the most honest and heavy thing you will hear today,” adding that “Kaylee Bear’s voice is terrifyingly sincere and intense, bringing to memory Swans and [Nick] Cave’s early years with The Birthday Party.”
You can listen to the sound of Aldona’s Daughter when it’s released Friday, September 22. It’ll be available as a free download on Bandcamp, with the code ‘ddnq-5cgd’. In the meantime, check out the gang’s tunes on Youtube and Facebook (stuntlovermusic).
