Synth You Been Gone

Putting some zip into the dog days of September, PureGrand releases his new EP Swallow Your Doubt, a pulsing collection of scintillating synth-pop tunes.

The adventurous off ering uses strong melodies coupled with retro 1980’s pop production styles to create a sonic exploration of ideas on queer masculinity and frank explorations of the complexities of sex and dating for gay men.

PureGrand is the brainchild of 22 year-old Dublin-based queer musician and artist, Luke Faulkner. Putting us all to shame with his work ethic, the multi-talented multi-tasker singlehandedly produced and created all aspects of the EP from his bedroom, including the artwork.

For those who fall under his musical spell, PureGrand has hinted there’s a possible performance art-inspired live act in the future to showcase both this and past works, including the awesome single, ‘Fallout’.
