Drag Racers In Dublin
RuPaul’s Drag Race fans – start your engines, because three of the show’s most iconic contestants are hitting our shores in 2018.
First up is everyone’s favourite doll Trixie Mattel, who takes to the stage at The Tivoli Theatre on January 26 on her Now With Moving Parts tour. It’s the perfect opportunity to dig deep into the psyche of the life-size legend, step into her pink cowboy boots and see the world through Trixie’s iconic eyes. There’ll be music, surreal comedy and all the epic costumes Ms Mattel could hot-glue together in time.
On February 1, RPDR’s Miss Congeniality and All Stars Season 2 finalist, Katya Zamolodchikova brings her hilarious new stand-up show, Help Me I’m Dying to the Olympia Theatre. With accompaniment from everybody’s favourite dumpsterliving hairdresser, Trish, Katya’s show promises to be one hilarious night. If you miss her, you will definitely Rugret it.
Then way into 2018, on August 6, Bianca del Rio (pictured), “the hateful clown in a gown” and the quintessential drag professional, brings her Blame It On Del Rio tour to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. An ISL (Irish sign language) interpreter will be on stage at the performance, so Bianca wins the award for ‘Most Inclusive Drag Queen’ scheduled to perform here in 2018. Shantay, she stays.
